Thanks to the consumers!!

First of all I want to Thank the consumers for showing love to the line! everything is coming along pretty well and the people are really supporting it! Here's one of the consumer that really showed love and support and bought 2 out of the 10 hoodies that were made..!! and I spoke to him, he was actually the first person to pick up the cheetah print and he said that the ladies from the store asked him " are people really getting crazy over the hoodies..?... bcuz I've been getting phone calls from people from out of state..!" so that news was pretty ill but kind of ironic because we didnt expect that people would actually call up for reservations..!! Now the first release was dope and hoping that the outcome of the second release is as good as the first one or even better.

more info coming soon..

A.L.I.E.N Released!

Finally the day has come! Tonight i'm here to let everyone know that the first series of A.L.I.E.N hoodies are now available in NYC. I'm not going to say exactly where but i'll give a couple of simple clues to help find these locations. Before I get into that though, i would like to discuss why I chose to release the Jungle Pack as our first set of apparel to introduce the brand. I chose the Jungle pack because i wanted to let everyone know that we are not just a temporary t-shirt brand. A.L.I.E.N is not just a phase of the the '05/06 but that we're here to stay. THE SHIP HAS LANDED. I designed only 10 of these unique hoodies to be sold , 5 of which are lined with cheetah fabric and the other 5 zebra. These are very special and unique to me because they are not hoodies that i ordered online and stamped my brand name on them. I sat down and help create almost every aspect of the hoodies. From sewing to every small detail on there. When I first thought of A.L.I.E.N, I wanted to create a brand for individuals, the risk takers. People who knew that they were different and didn't care what people said or thought. They wear what makes THEM feel good instead of simply trying to impress the masses. You may say I purposely waited this long to get feedback and to see where everyone's head was at. We wanted to see if the hype would die down and who actually stayed loyal to the movement. Did they really like what i was attempting to do? or were they just following the hype? I was beyond happy when i recieved both positive and negative feedback. Now it sets an even bigger challenge for the consumers; you've heard the positive and negative feedback, now are you brave enough to wear what YOU like? People always ask what I call my style. At first I didn't know what to say because i honestly couldn't classify it. The way i dress is inspired by many different cultures and eras: Old school hip hop, punk, skater to my own mix and blend of style. It's always evolving. The style itself is unidentifiable... Alien- like you could say(pun intended). Well anyways, they are finally out! These hoodies are very meaningful to me. Like i told my friends, a piece of me are in all these hoodies. Later on maybe around 10...11 or maybe midnight i'll reveal the clues. And to the 10 lucky people who purchase the first release, I not only want to thank you but to assure you that you're recieving a one of a kind piece.

Off topic but needed...

I'll be posting some very important news tonight. Very important....

Yea Yea... I know

Yea I know, i'm slack'n on the posting but i've been crazy busy with stuff.. not only that but my pc is down until next week but trust me, there is a lot come'n thru. Next week I'll have a lot more to post including pics of the NEW King Grillz hoody set to release the same time as the Jungle Pack... I know you're like.. WTF MAN... When the kcuf is this shit gona drop? Trust me, it's going to come thru... just been busy with other sh*t as well.

But yo... before I sign off you guys GOTTA read this topic on the galaxy riders on NikeTalk.com .. these people are FUNNY. The guy who started this post might want to get the full info on the line before he makes assumptions

1. He thinks the line is a "rip" off bbc/bape... oh for real? because you've seen the collection section that's up right? or perhaps it's because of the ape on the back of the hoodie- but if homie looked at the small fonts he would know that we are in no way trying to ride bapes coattails instead we are stating that we are a force to be reckoned with, hence the title"king of all beasts".

2. I don't really have time to write right now but I think this is a nice time to give you a brief meaning of the term "Galaxy Riders" A.L.I.E.N the crew a.k.a The Galaxy Riders are a made up of a bunch of street fashion foward kids who aren't "trying" to look differently or dress differently but shouldn't be faulted if they do. They claim we do what we do because we want attention ,now for those who DON'T know about our visions and our lifestyle, they automatically assume this is a Bape/BBC style created by pharrell a.k.a mr. skateboard P.. let's get the fuck serious. Don't get me wrong, Pharrell is a cool dude but the admiration starts and ends with his music NOTHING else. This ties into the whole me being black and automatically assuming I have to be "thuggish". But honestly, i'm loving the hate, hate = publicity, it also proves that i'm doing something right if they actually made a whole 6 pages about my team ;-)

3. This was the funniest comment on the post, "The Line is Made for Gay people" .... what???? This again proves that these dudes know nothing about the lifestyle or us for that matter. So you see a dude rock'n fitted clothing so he MUST be making clothing for gay people or he must be gay himself... uhh... no. I'm no where near gay but I do have friends who are...problem????

Anyways, I guess people will understand who we are a little bit more when the collection section is up. There is a theme/story behind the whole line. Either you GET IT or YOU DON'T. If you DON'T then keep it moving. Brands don't make clothing for EVERYONE to enjoy, they market a certain type of group. A LEGION IN EVERY NATION a.k.a A.L.I.E.N are for those who are TIRED of people like this guy who is unable to appreciate creativity and individuality. Thanks for all your opinions people but they were not warranted stick to your style B, cuz you'll never understand ours. And know you facts before you start criticizing individuals, we are not out to "make money" we are out to make a statement!

THEY ARE HERE!

Yes the new hoodies are here finally in. The previous photos were the samples and this is a picture of a finished piece. We also have another hoody drop'n too. It's a hoody I'd like to call, Sir King Grillz... i'll have pics up soon. Now the question is... are they really dropping this weekend???? I'll let you know by friday. Much love fellow Galaxy Riderz...

I found them!

The other day I was getting ready to head out to the city but wasn't really feeling my out fit. I was like... some'n is missing. Then I was like.. F* it who cares... then I stumbled across an old AJ Retro box and was like... oo ooo what do we have hear? It was my low top Air Jordan 8's. I bought them in highschool because I was a BIG FAN of the HIGH TOP eights. I had my clientele t-shirt on that was based on the Jordan print that was inside the kicks. Not really news but I thought why not show it to my peoples who check my blog... hhhm.... I think I should use this pic for myspace... but then again, watch it end up on that posers page. BAND THAT DUDE!!!

Is Hip Hop Killing us?

This is a little continuation from my previous post on black history. I love all types of music esspecially old school Hip Hop. Not too much of a big fan of hardcore rap but there are a lot of Hardcore MC's i'm liking but are the lyrics in these songs being takeng to serious in the urban youth community? I honestly think that SOME of the kids who listen to hip hop want to live the "Thug Life" and is why they end up doing what they doing. I say that because, i'm not gona lie.. back in my early higschool days I used to roll with gangs and thought it was the best way to live. I finally smarted up and realized it's not the way to go... but that's just my opinion. Luckly I got a hold of my boy Steve-o (same name in the game) from Laced Magazine to ask him a couple of question about today's hip hop.

1) Do you think Hip Hop/Hardcore rap has a lot to do with why there
are so many black on black crimes?

ANS) I think it's part of the problem, but i also think that music as a whole has an affect on crime. A white person can listen to maralyn manson and shoot a school up the same way a black person can listen to 2pac and shoot a block up. it's all about how the music affects you.

2) Do you believe that black people as a whole will ever get a long?

ANS) We are like crabs in a barrel. eveytime one is trying to make it out, the crabs below pull us back in. its like we dont want to see eachother rise. but how are we gonna make it if we cant help each other. alot of people dont realize that until its over.

3) Why is it that other races can listen to rap, be part of the whole
hip hop culture but will not be influenced by the words to actually go
out and shoot another person?

ANS) We are influenced by it too, it just doesnt get reported. The news only wants you to see certain things. if a white person listens to 50 cent and decides to shoot someone. he screams 50's music made me do it. its more news worthy. all the media cares about is Sensationalism.

4) Do you think it's ok for other races to use the N* word? Why or Why
not?

ANS) its not ok, but at the end of the day, people are going to use it regardless. We made it cool to say nigga. we turned something that was negative into a positive. i feel like blacks are as racist as whites. we stereotype other races just as much as they do it to us. 2 wrongs don't make a right.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH?

Man OH MAN did we have a great discussion last night. I usually don't discuss the issue of race to the public because it's a very touchy subject, very controversial but with February being the official "Black History Month" I was like what not discuss a few topics about the black community. Especially after an argument I had with a friend last night.
A good friend of mine who is black, said that she "doesn't see black people getting anywhere anytime soon, it's like we are still slaves" then she continues on saying that only white and Hispanic people get the better jobs. You know your boy Q had to step up and shut her DOWN.
Now this is all my opinion, you may think different but this is what I feel is wrong with the “black” community. I feel there is NO type of unity. In my opinion there are two different type of black people, the ones who go out and become successful and the ones who still blame “the man” for living the life they live. My friend goes on saying that there are not that many successful black people in the world and if they are, they are not giving back to their community. I was like alright.. so what about Oprah? Bill Cosby? Michael Jordan? Are they not successful and black? She says yea but they all cater to white people and don’t give back to their community, they should give an example by giving some money back” At this point I’m getting beyond mad and say “It’s because of people like you why we won’t move anywhere, How in the hell are Oprah & Bill catering to white people? Because they speak proper English? Write great books? Dress properly? Then you have the nerve to say they are not setting an example by not giving back to the community? Actually not only have they donated tons of money but they are setting the biggest example they can, they are saying that YOU TOO can be successful. It does not matter what race you are. Bill Cosby doesn’t owe SHIT to you, why the hell should he give his hard earned money to lazy ass kids who drop out of school to gang bang all day and night?
At this point everyone in the room is getting emotional and she goes on an explains her life by saying that her mother is a very smart woman with an associates degree and knows more work than everyone at her job and has been working there for 10 years but they have not offered her a better position. Then a “white” lady who is new to the job comes in with a bachelors degree and has not been working in the field for long at all gets a better position than her mother.
I’m like, it’s NOT because she’s white she got the better position. I told her she needed to look at it from a business point of view. Two applicants come in to apply to work for your business. One of them has a high school degree but has 5 years work experience in your field so you assume they know their stuff but the other applicant is fresh out of college with a college degree saying that they have a degree in your business field. Who would you hire? She pauses for a while and then says “the one with the 5 years experience” knowing damn well she’s lying out her ass. I kept it real with her and told her how my mother came here with NOTHING at the age of 18 not knowing a WORD of English. She worked her ass off living in a strangers apartment because that’s all she can afford and now not only does she TEACH English she makes more money than my step pops.
The problem with some black people is that they blame everyone else but themselves. I agree that there is A WHOLE LOT of racism still going on, I got through it all the time but don’t say that black people are not successful because they can’t get good jobs and because the rich black people are not giving back to their community. How about you work your ass off just like they did to get to where they are. If it takes just a simple piece of paper to make them big bucks then why not work your ass off to get it? Don’t sit back and expect someone to hand it to you on a golden platter. Man I have a lot more to say but stay tuned till next topic. I’ll be discussing Hip Hop Influences in the urban community. Are the words in the lyrics in today’s Hip Hop music affecting the way our urban youth react? In my opinion yes but let’s wait till next time. Much love to ALL my beautiful races. At the end of the day we are all people, all eat, drink and shit out the same whole.

MYSPACE FAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night I recieved a message from someone saying that someone has stolen my pics and is trying to act like me? Is it that serious? I never understood why someone would steal someone elses page and try to be that other person. Why would you stoop so low? Everyone is special and different in their own way, don't try and be someone who you're obviously not because it's NOT COOL. I'm pretty upset with this person. Not only that, it seems as if he has a girl who is in on it too. She left a comment asking "hey where did you get that t-shirt, oh yea i bought it" umm.... A.L.I.E.N has'nt been released in stores yet shorty. They must have a lot of time on their hand to go around posing as other people. Here's the LINK to this losers page. Please feel free to send him/her a note to let them know they seriously need to get a life.

On other news, a couple of night my boy John and I headed over to St. Johns University's campus for some late night shred'n. The camera died so we could'nt take any flicks but a few of us are going skate'n again in a few days.

And shout out to Rick'da'Star for this fly pic of him in the A-gear. Yea he's down with the crew too.
